The First Day of Fall

Friday, September 22, 2017

Happy first day of fall ya'll!

This is personally my favorite time of year, so I am undoubtedly a walking pinterest meme (gimme all the pumpkin spice 😍). Annoying, I know! But anyways, one of my favorite parts of fall is all the fall decor and getting to decorate! This year unfortunately, due to the damages of Hurricane Harvey I won't have the chance to decorate and all the decor I bought for this year is packed away in a storage unit.😔 So with that being said, I figured I'd just recap my front porch decor from last year! After all, I'm still obsessed with it anyways!

Some of my favorite stores for decor are Hobby Lobby, At Home, Target, and Marshalls! I shop for (not fall) decor at these stores all year long so if you have any decor craves, definitely check them out! But if you don't have any of these nearby, I LOVE the Wayfair app and they sell awesome furniture and always have sales too!

So about last years decor..
One of my favorite things for fall decor are decorative pumpkins, because let's face it, it's just not fall without pumpkins! Anyways, I prefer decorating with fake pumpkins vs real pumpkins because in this South Texas weather, the real ones just don't hold up unfortunately! So I buy pretty much all of my "fakies"at Hobby Lobby and right now they are ON SALE!! (I linked some here). But At Home also has some really adorable ones too and they are having a sale as well. I got this one for this year! I also went to At Home for my doormat and wreath, they tend to be a little expensive, so I definitely recommend shopping a sale!

For the inside of my home (sorry I'm lacking pics 😩), I like to get more decorative/whimsical pumpkins and assort them on the counter, entertainment center, dining table, console table, etc. I got some really cute ones this year at Marshall's but can't find them ANYWHERE to link! One of my other go to's is candles! I'm so cliché I know, but I am obsessed with Bath & Body Works' candles! My absolute fave scent for fall is "Leaves", and I also stock up on "Flannel" and "Marshmallow Fireside", and always make it a ritual to switch out my B&BW hand soaps according to the season/holiday too!

If you have any cute/fun fall decor ideas, I'd love to hear them!

A Few Of My Favorite Accessories For Summer

Sunday, July 2, 2017

TURQUOISE EARRINGS (kind of expensive, but so worth it!) | BLACK & WHITE EARRINGS (only $36!)| MONOGRAM NECKLACE (4xl monogram w/ 16" chain) | BRACELETS

Accessories make everything better!
With summer's approach, I have been on the hunt for cute, fun and colorful accessories to spice up my outfits. With that being said, I decided to share with ya'll some of the things I've already purchased, as well as what's in my shopping cart for future purchase!
And the best part...
EVERYTHING below is under $50!

1.)  Layered Fringe Earring (a mirror dupe to the designer $100 pair)

3.) Striped Drop Earrings (reminds me of the pair I already own)

5.) Pom Pom Necklace (such a cute piece to spice up a plain tee)

6.) "Y" Choker Chain Necklace (all the rage lately)

7.) 2pc Chain Bracelet (definitely a staple item)

8.) Crossover Ring (another huge trend lately)

9.) Stone Open Ring (reminds me of a Kendra Scott piece at half the price)

I have been loving BaubleBar's styles lately and all of their items are so reasonably priced that it makes it that much harder to resist! I shop most of my BaubleBar pieces through Nordstrom because I love the idea of free shipping, and I do most of my shopping through Nordstrom already, but in case you didn't know, BaubleBar is also associated with SugarFix which recently just launched in Target stores! (How convenient right!?)

So if you are in need of some on trend yet affordable accessories, and haven't checked out BaubleBar before, then I hope this post gives you inspiration to do so! Happy shopping!

Floral for Summer

DRESS: Everly ($55 wearing a medium!) | HEELS: Target (so on trend!) | SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker (same style)

Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately, If you follow my social media, you know that I recently finished real estate school and am pursuing my real estate license! I've been super excited about it but also super stressed as I am dreading my licensing exam! :( I think I'm just so nervous to take it and don't know what to expect, not to mention my career is riding on this! So if you have been through the process before or are going through it currently and have any tips, PLEASE leave me a comment below. I would love to hear about your experiences!

I've been wearing more dresses than usual lately (in case you didn't notice!), they are just so much easier and more comfortable. I was so thrilled to find this one for $55! It was essentially effortless to just throw this on and go, not to mention it requires less accessories which can be time saving and easier too! It does run TTS - I am wearing a medium which fits a 4-6.

I have currently been raving over these shoes, they are like $27!? They are SO cute, comfortable and the best part - they are a dupe to THIS designer pair! Like how do you even resist!?

Summer State Of Mind

TOP: Asos | Jeans: Nordstrom | SHOES: Marc Fisher | NECKLACE: Love Always | PURSE: Louis Vuitton (MM size) | SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker

So in case ya'll hadn't noticed, I'm a complete sucker for anything OTS right i literally can't get enough. The addiction is real! So like I mentioned in my last post, I'm doing an OTS series - if you will, with all my favorite OTS pieces and how I'm styling them.

I think I'm so obsessed with this trend because its so easy to throw on and dress up or down and still look super cute! I mean, how freaking cute is this top!? I'm so sad they don't have this in different colors, because I swear I would buy it in every color they had! I just can't get over the ruffling and the A-line hem!

And these jeans...I think they might be the most comfortable pair I own, seriously! I was so skeptical to order them at first because I am so picky when ordering jeans online because I have such an awkward body shape/structure so I literally always have a hard time getting jeans that fit right the first time. But let me just tell ya'll, these jeans fit like a glove, are super flattering, super comfortable, and not only stylish, but the perfect fit and length for my body structure. I think these would fit anyone amazingly and at under $60, you can't afford not to get them! Seriously, you won't be disappointed!

On another note, I plan to start doing a few different but fun blog posts, like cosmetic reviews and maybe a few DIY projects/home stuff, so if you'd like to see anything in particular, please leave me a comment below and let me know, I love to hear yall's feedback!

Summer Style

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

DRESS: ASOS (under $25, "fancier" version here) | WEDGES: Marc Fisher | NECKLACE: Love Always | EARRINGS: Baubelbar (so cute & affordable too!) | CLUTCH: Etsy (actually a cross body but I tucked in the straps)

With summer officially here (and that means the heat), it's hard not to reach for those simple and easy (and lightweight) necessities when getting ready for the day. If you've been following me at all lately, you know I love the simple staples! One of the biggest trends this year has been OTS styles and I am obviously so drooling over it!

So, with that being said, I'm starting a new series - if you will, all about OTS staples under $55! Who doesn't love stylish/affordable and ridiculously cute pieces to stock their closet with!?

Follow along because I'll be sharing them all within the next couple of weeks!

P.S. I've also been thinking about doing either a makeup/beauty post with all my summer faves, or a DIY post including some of my households finds and the creative thumb I've been putting them! Leave me a comment and let me know which post you'd like to see!

As always, thanks for all your love & support <3

Rainy Days and Comfy Tees

Thursday, June 1, 2017

TOP: American Eagle (Only $15!!) Jeans: AG (dupe under $100 here) BOOTS: Hunter

Hey guys! It's been crazy rainy weather here the past few days, so I took every opportunity I could to snap a few blog pics when I got a dry moment! I am seriously raving over these tees lately and seriously bought one in every color they had! They are honestly the softest shirts ever and have the perfect slouchy/comfy/casual look! They have some that have kind of a destroyed look to them which is so on style lately and makes these the perfect dupe for the Free People shirts everyones been raving about!

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend and stays safe with all this crazy weather going around!

All About The Embroidery

Saturday, May 27, 2017

TOP: ASOS | JEANS: Here  (On sale & under $35!) | SHOES: Sam Edelman | NECKLACE: The Styled Collection | SUNGLASSES: Sold out but similar here

As you have probably noticed, I can't resist anything embroidered! Its like an addiction I swear! If thats even possible...anyways, this top is a total steal at under $50! I actually bought it to wear for Cinco de Mayo because I thought it was perfect for that holiday, PLUS I can wear it all summer long because its seriously on style!

I paired this top with these super comfy/stretchy jeans that are also a steal at around $35. However, this top would look great paired with some denim shorts or black jeans too!

Im keeping this post short and sweet because I'm technically supposed to be getting ready for work right now but I'm obviously procrastinating! lol But thanks for stopping by and don'f forget to shop the rest of the outfit from the links above!

Everyday OTS Top

Thursday, May 18, 2017

TOP: BP (only $45!)  | PANTS: AOS | WEDGES: Marc Fisher | NECKLACE: The Syled Collection | SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker

I am SO loving the off the shoulder trend this spring/summer - especially these tunic-like ones! I will seriously be living in these the rest of the spring because they are a super soft material and I love the length! I always gear towards longer tops (all year long) because they are so much easier to style and go great with leggings/shorts, you nam it! SO with that being said, having the perfect neutral staple will be sure to make your sumer styling a breeze! This top keeps selling out so snag it while you can!

Also peep my super affordable necklace staple as well! It is seriously the perfect piece for any OTS or V-neck top/dress and at less than $40 how can you turn it down!? I love finding cute everyday accessories that make even the most plain outfits look more put together & chic. Keep an eye out because I have a feeling I'll be styling it with a lot more outfits in the future!

Pops of Color for Spring and Summer

Friday, April 7, 2017

DRESS: RahiCali (wearing size small) | WEDGES: Marc Fisher (obsessed) | CLUTCH: Etsy (actually a cross body but I tucked the chain in) | SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker

This dress is definitely my fave! I brought it with me on our Playa trip last week and I got SO many compliments the entire time I wore it! I just don't think you can ever go wrong with anything embroidered! Not to mention, the detail on this dress is to die for and the colors are so vibrant and fun, its hard to pass it up in the closet! Matter of fact, I'm an outfit repeater with this thing more times than I'd like to admit! This will definitely be a spring/summer staple for me!

THESE SHOES! OMG!! I swooned over these for months while they were sold out before finally making the plunge and buying them. I was scared they might be clunky/heavy, so I was so ecstatic when I got them in and turned out to be wrong. These are the most lightweight, comfortable, and easiest shoes to walk in I think I've ever bought! Basically imagine your wearing your favorite flats, just way cuter! So if you buy a single pair of new shoes this summer, make sure these are IT!! You won't regret it i swear!

Thanks for stopping by!
